« Le SAILD au Salon International sur le Machinisme Agricole au Cameroun (SIMAC) 2015 ».
The project aims to build the resilience of 30,000 vulnerable people with a special focus on youth and women in the Far North region of Cameroon. Improve agricultural activities, drinking water availability, irrigation and food security through rural engineering works, training and technical assistance, equipment and consumer goods in ten villages in the two targeted departments.
Within the framework of the project to strengthen food security and improve the dietary diversity of smallholder families in the East and Far North regions, SAILD promotes agroecological practices. These practices are popularised through farmer field schools monitored by farmer facilitators, as far as the agricultural component of the project is concerned. The nutritional component is carried out by endogenous facilitators.
