The 6th edition of the BAKA DREAM DAYS 2025 Cultural and Tourism Festival was held from September 4 to 7, 2025, at the Baka Living Museum, located in the village of Assok, Mintom district.
The festival, themed “Securing the Bakas in the research process, promoting tourism and sustainable development” aimed to promote the cultural and natural heritage of the Baka and Fang communities, indigenous peoples of the region, by making culture and the forest a real lever for sustainable local development. It was initiated by the APIFED organization and the AKOK BAKA association.
SAILD‘s participation in this festival is strategically important, as it aims to strengthen ties with the Baka communities of Mintom, indigenous peoples, and to better understand their culture and way of life, in order to adapt future projects to an inclusive approach that takes into account the multiple realities of indigenous peoples.
