The entire staff of SAILD (Support service for local development initiatives) mobilized this Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at the NGO’s headquarters in the Elig-Essono district of Yaounde to reflect on preparations for the regional forum on agroecology and the national organic agricultural fair to be organized by the institution.
Scheduled for November 2024, this is the event of the year for SAILD, which intends to reach out to all players in the sustainable agriculture chain. The stakes are clear:
– Lobby decision-makers and institutional players in the agricultural sector on the need for regulations on agroecology and organic farming;
– To inform and raise awareness among consumers and the general public about the importance of eating healthy food, particularly food produced by agroecology and organic farming;
– Highlight the work of organic producers by exhibiting and selling their products.
This major two-in-one event is set to welcome several hundred participants from Cameroon and other countries in the Congo Basin.
Registration will open shortly for stakeholders wishing to take part in the November 2024 event.
