A meeting initiated by the German cooperation agency (GIZ) to mark the end of Women’s Month. This action is part of its new project entitled AgSys (Sustainable Agricultural Systems and Policies), launched in January 2024.
With the theme: “Women and the importance of sustainable agriculture and healthy eating”, this discussion aimed to raise awareness among women of the importance of sustainable agriculture and healthy eating.
SAILD‘s rich experience in promoting and popularizing agroecology in Cameroon, shared at this workshop by Marie Pauline Voufo and Clarisse Fombana of SAILD, was much appreciated by the thirty or so representatives of private organizations present.
The challenge of feeding the population healthily is certainly great, but not insurmountable, and “sustainable agriculture is the way to produce healthy food”, concluded the workshop.
